UFOA ENDORSES JOHN QUAGLIONE FOR ELECTION TO CITY COUNCIL BROOKLYN DISTRICT 43 IN THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY
The Uniformed Fire Officers Association representing 2,600 Lieutenants, Captains, Battalion Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, Supervising Fire Marshals and Medical Officers of the New York City Fire Department, has endorsed John Quaglione for election to the 43rd City Council District in the Republican Primary.
“The Executive Board of the UFOA unanimously and enthusiastically voted to endorse John Quaglione, a Republican and lifetime resident of Bay Ridge,” UFOA President James Lemonda said.
“Presently, John Quaglione serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Press Secretary for longtime friend of the UFOA, Senator Marty Golden and has worked closely alongside him since the Senator was first elected to the City Council himself in 1997. As a life-long New Yorker and someone who has once served as a member of the Bay Ridge Ambulance Volunteer Organization’s Youth Squad, Mr. Quaglione knows the importance of public safety. John Quaglione is looking to further dedicate himself to the needs of our business, school, and civic communities, as well as to the needs of local families as our next City Councilman. John Quaglione vows to make our neighborhoods safer and improve New Yorkers’ quality of life.”
Mr. Quaglione received a B.A. in Political Science from the American University in Washington, D.C. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of St. Anselm Catholic Academy and the Co-Chair of the Brooklyn Committee of the March of Dimes. John Quaglione resides in Bay Ridge with his wife, Kerry, and their two daughters Natalie and Olivia.
“We are proud to endorse John Quaglione for the 43rd City Council District in the Republican Primary. We are proud to support leaders like John Quaglione who never waver to political pressure in their staunch support of public education, public safety, first responders and the UFOA,” President Lemonda said.
