Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association endorses John Quaglione for New York City Council

Brooklyn, NY – City Council Candidate John Quaglione announced today his official endorsement by the Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association in the upcoming Republican Primary in the 43rd Council District set for Tuesday, September 12th.

“I am humbled to have earned the support of the brave men and women who have one of the toughest jobs in law enforcement. It is not an easy job to patrol and protect our jails and maintain the safety of our inmates. They have rightly earned the nickname “New York’s Boldest,” said John Quaglione.

“I maintain the utmost respect for all those who wear, and have worn, the NYC Correction Officer uniform. The members can surely count on me to stand up for their safety and their benefits when I am elected to the City Council,” said John Quaglione.

In announcing 23 City Council primary endorsements, including Quaglione, COBA NYC President Elias Husamudeen stated, “We trust them to keep the interests of NYC Correction Officers and their families at the forefront of their policymaking over the next four years. Now more than ever, we need leaders on the City Council who understand our contributions to this City and our significant role in maintaining public safety and who will never let us down.”

The Corrections Officers’ Benevolent Association is New York City’s second largest law enforcement union with over 20,000 active and retired members.

John Quaglione is also endorsed by Senator Marty Golden, the Uniformed Firefighters Association, and the John Jay College Republicans. For more information on John Quaglione and his campaign, please visit votejohnq.com.
