The Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) officially endorses John Quaglione of Brooklyn’s 43rd District
Brooklyn, NY-- John Quaglione, candidate for City Council’s 43rd District seat, proudly accepted the official endorsement of the Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) this Thursday afternoon, when he vowed to “protect those who protect us.” Leaders and members of the UFA, Senator Marty Golden, as well as constituents of the 43rd District were all in attendance in front of Engine 284/Ladder 149 in Brooklyn on August 10th for the endorsement announcement.
"The Uniformed Firefighters Association knows I'm the guy who will fight the closing of any fire house throughout the city and block any cuts in funding to our fire department," said John Quaglione. "We can live without politicians, but we can't live without the best fire department in the world."
Quaglione pledged that he would protect funding for our fire department, stand up for firefighters benefits, and prevent the closing of any fire houses.
“John Quaglione has spent his entire life in the 43rd district, working alongside Marty Golden for almost two decades on issues that help New York City Firefighters, their families and citizens all over the City,” said UFA President Gerard Fitzgerald. “He’s shown a commitment to working on behalf of our members on issues that range from protecting firehouses, to ensuring the long term sustainability of our earned benefits. The UFA is happy to support John’s campaign in the 43rd.”
