The Port Authority Sergeants Benevolent Association (PASBA) Endorses John Quaglione for the 43rd District Council Seat
Brooklyn, NY- The Port Authority Sergeants Benevolent Association (PASBA)-- endorsed John Quaglione in the race to replace incumbent Brooklyn City Councilman Vincent J. Gentile in the 43rd District which includes Bath Beach, Bensonhurst, Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge.
PASBA President Rich Hassmiller said Quaglione “is the only candidate running who understands local government, local issues and can force City Hall to work for people like us.”
“Quaglione’s nearly 20 years of experience working with Senator Martin Golden uniquely qualifies John Quaglione to solve the problems working New Yorkers face,” said Hassmiller.
PASBA represents 190 Sergeants who patrol New York and New Jersey’s airports, bridges, tunnels, bus terminal, and port facilities, including the Red Hook Brooklyn shipping terminal right here in Brooklyn.
Commenting on the endorsement, Quaglione said: “Valor and bravery aren’t just words. Port Authority SBA members gave their lives on 9/11 and put themselves at risk daily. I admire them. I am grateful. And I promise everyone that I will not let them down in the City Council.”
